About Us:
Asiel Farms Shop supplies premium, grass-fed beef, local goats, free-range chicken, ducks, and custom cuts to 5-star hotels, top restaurants, and families in Dar es Salaam. All our animals are farm-raised and delivered fresh daily.
The Role:
We are looking for a hands-on Butcher Shop Supervisor to run our flagship Mbezi shop. Lead the team, control quality, maximize profit, and ensure every customer feels like family.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and manage 6–10 staff; create weekly rosters; hold daily briefings & monthly reviews.
- Butchery Mastery: Break down carcasses with zero waste; produce value-added items; maintain visually appealing displays.
- Stock & Cost Control: Place orders, maintain profit margins, track shrinkage <1%, use off-cuts creatively.
- Customer Experience: Greet customers, offer tastings, manage hotel deliveries before 6am.
- Hygiene & Compliance: Enforce TBS & TFDA standards; maintain cold chain 0–4°C; daily cleaning roster.
Requirements:
- 3+ years professional butchery experience
- Proven track record managing butchery worth TSh 200M+ per month
- Valid food handler & health certificate
- Able to lift 80 kg and work in cold rooms
- Fluent in English & Kiswahili
- Reside within 45 mins of Mbezi Beach/Kawe
